Cullaloe awarded nature reserve status thumb Cullaloe officially awarded Local Nature Reserve StatusThe Scottish Wildlife Trust’s (SWT) Cullaloe Wildlife Reserve near Aberdour was officially opened as a Fife Local Nature Reserve (LNR) today (Wednesday 30 August 2006). The presentation made to SWT by Councillor Ron Edwards on behalf of Fife Council, recognises the reserves’ local nature conservation interest and value to the surrounding community. Councillor Ron Edwards said: “I am delighted that on behalf of Fife Council I am able to declare Cullaloe Wildlife Reserve a Local Nature Reserve. Recreation sites where the local community can enjoy their natural environment are vital as spaces for learning about and appreciating our natural heritage”. Continue reading
